Four Finalist Places at the AFI UK Fencing Awards 2027
We are proud to share our results for the Association of Fencing Industries UK Fencing Awards 2026, which take place at Old Trafford in November. This year we entered six categories. Four of those entries have been named finalists and the remaining two have both received Highly Commended recognition.
Our 2026 results
Finalists:
- Security category: Redbridge Fire Station
- Women in Fencing: Jade Wallace
- Industrial category: Hilsea Lido, Portsmouth
- Apprentice of the Year: George Netley
Highly Commended:
- Highways and Railways: Okehampton Interchange Station
- Sports and Education: Luminous Oak
To have every one of our six entries recognised, and four progress to the final, is something the whole team is proud of.
Projects and people
It is particularly pleasing to see both our projects and our people recognised this year. George’s Apprentice of the Year finalist place reflects the hard work and progress he has made since we first wrote about him during National Apprenticeship Week. Jade’s place in the inaugural Women in Fencing category recognises nearly ten years in the fencing industry, most of it spent as the first point of contact for our customers and the person keeping contracts running behind the scenes.
Last year we were finalists in the Domestic category and our apprentice Liam won Apprentice of the Year, so the bar was already set high.
November at Old Trafford
A huge well done to everyone at Knight Fencing who has played a part in these projects and achievements. The winners are announced at the awards ceremony at Old Trafford in November and we will share the results here.
