A big well done to all the winners at the 2024 AFI UK Fencing Awards – including us!
We won! We bagged a big shiny award for the Knight Fencing mantlepiece!
Which one was it?
Well, it was a big one – one that we’re super proud to have back at the yard.
It’s a massive pat on the back for our teams – from the installation crews to our office staff.
Which 2024 award did we win?
OK, so drum roll…we are the…
2024 Industrial Fencing Contractor of the Year!
It really means a lot to us.
Danny Knight, our Managing Director, and Nick Smith, our General Manager, were at the St. James’ Park ceremony to pick up the award, from none other than Arsenal and England football legend, the Romford Pelé, Ray Parlour.
What does the award mean to us?
Winning the award for the 2024 Industrial Fencing Contractor of the Year is a big moment for us.
It’s great to be recognised by the industry for the work that we do. Industrial fencing is a major part of what we do and we work on a range of different projects for all sorts of clients.
Innovation is a key part of these projects – coming up with solutions to meet very specific fencing-related challenges. We display our skills and showcase what our industry can do. The project that got us the nomination is a good example of this.
Which project got us the Industrial Fencing Contractor award?
The project that bagged us the Industrial Fencing Contractor of the Year award was the installation of innovative spectator fencing at Goodwood Motor Circuit.
Presented with a time-bending spectator fencing challenge, we came up with a time-bending spectator fencing solution that got the nod of approval from none other than the Duke of Richmond.
Same time next year?
Well done again to all the nominees and other winners. It was great to get together and celebrate our industry and, on a personal note, to see our work recognised by our peers.
Same time next year? First past the (fencing) post again…we’re already working hard to do it!
