Waterside Security Fencing: Protek 1000 Installation at The Lock Keeper, Bristol

Knight Fencing recently traveled to Bristol to complete a specialist weldmesh fencing project for Blue Cedar Tree Surgeons at the iconic Lock Keeper pub. This project required a blend of high security and aesthetic sensitivity due to its prominent location alongside a busy marina.

The Technical Brief

The project involved the supply and installation of 112 linear metres of 1800mm high Protek 1000 weldmesh fencing, finished with a matching secure gate. This was to ensure a full waterside security fencing solution.

The site presented unique installation requirements:

  • Precision Bolt-Fixing: Sections of the security fencing running alongside the marina had to be bolt-fixed directly to an existing wall. This required careful setting out and precision drilling to ensure a seamless and secure finish that integrated perfectly with the site’s permanent structures.
  • Waterside Logistics: Working in a waterside environment brings specific logistical challenges, from managing equipment in limited space to ensuring site safety throughout the build.

A Robust and Seamless Result

Despite these challenges, our team delivered a robust, clean perimeter solution. The Protek 1000 system was chosen for its durability and its ability to provide long-term security without obstructing the views that make waterside leisure developments so popular.

The finished result is a secure weldmesh fencing installation that complements its surroundings while offering peace of mind to the business owners.
