School Fencing Case Study

Primary School fencing: Installing perimeter fencing and gates at Kingsham Primary School in Chichester, West Sussex

Knight Fencing was selected to supply and install school perimeter fencing and access gates at Kingsham Primary School based on our experience, expertise, the standard of our work and the value for money we provide.

We have the insurance coverage and health and safety accreditation required to supply and install school fencing and gates and we have designed and installed a range of perimeter and internal fencing and gate access systems for schools across West Sussex. Kingsham Primary School is part of the University of Chichester Academy Trust, with which we have worked extensively in the past.

School perimeter fencing and access gates were the main focus of this project and we installed 868 twin wire mesh fencing and gates at a height of 2.4m. This type of fencing and gates is strong, highly durable and resistant to cutting, with good visibility, which makes it well suited to safeguarding pupils and staff.

The project also required a solution to help prevent pupils trying to leave the school grounds without permission during school hours. Our solution was the installation of 358 anti-climb mesh perimeter fencing at a height of 2.4m on the rear and side boundaries.

The work was completed on time and to budget during the school holiday period, with no extra costs and overruns, meaning that the new perimeter and gates were ready for the first day of the new school term. The client was very happy with the work and the new school fencing and gates continue to do their job to a high standard, protecting the pupils and  staff and preventing unauthorized exiting of the school grounds.
